Society members, both the adults and student interns, participate in programs that involve field trips to sites of interest in the local and general area. Most of the trips are local and single day.  On occasion we travel greater distances that require us to stay overnight.

Historic Sites - On Saturday, March 1st, 2008, 19 members of the Society (11 adults and 8 interns) participated in a winter field trip to Potts Grove Manor on King Street in Pottstown, Montgomery County.     We enjoyed a guided tour through the 17 room mansion that dates back to the 18th century.  The tour was both educational and interesting.  The home is fashioned to look lived in by its colonial occupants.  Click on the picture below to see the majority (16) of those who participated.

Historic Towns - In the past, Society members have visited towns such as Jim Thorpe.  This trip was held overnight and included several of our student interns.

Museums - Society members have participated in field trips to many museum.  Many times these trips are based on special events such as the Tutankhamen exhibit at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia during 2007.

Weekly adult meetings are held Wednesday nights from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. Please come and join us.
