We welcome new members to our Society at any time during the year. Those who join in August or later, will retain their membership through the following year. We send out our invitations to renew membership in the first quarter of the year. The membership year begins on the first of May. Members may then participate in the elections held at the general Society meeting that is in May. Members receive our journal, the "Grist" as it is published each quarter. Some type of promotional item, such as a magnetic model of a historic marker, is provided to the renewing member. The member receives notices of all special events, such as planned field trips and our annual presentation of a historic subject at our November meeting. All members are invited to join our weekly meetings and participate in our scheduled events. Our Intern Program is open to student members. Students are welcome to visit the weekly sessions three times as non-members. Membership Types: General Membership
