GRIST

The Millbrook Society publishes a journal that is named the "Grist" in consideration of our name and original focus to preserve a local mill.  It is published each quarter and includes contributions from our members as well as the public at large.  It also includes news of the activities of the Society over the past quarter.  Upcoming events, such as field trips, are also listed.  It normally consists of eight pages and is distributed to our membership.  We provide copies to other historical organizations and also hand out copies to interested parties at special activities, when available.

The last issue went out in December (the Fall 2011 Issue) and contained the following items: Hatboro Union Library Historical Marker Dedication; The Runaway Slave Law versus Horsham and Hatboro; Mammoth Pumpkin; From the Grapevine; and Society News.

The next issue (the Winter 2011-2012 Issue) will be coming out this coming March  It will contain more interesting material as usual.

Members, as well as non-members, are encouraged to submit articles for publication in our journal.  The material offered should be in the interest areas of our members.

Articles from issues published from one year back and earlier have been published on this site, as they can be prepared.  Our Webmaster will be working on inserting more articles in the near future.  When they become available on the site, they may be accessed through the Grist Article Index.

Weekly meetings are held Wednesday nights from 7:30 - 9:30 PM.

Please come and join us.
